Red and yellow bell peppers - 1 Kg

Extra virgin olive oil - 6 table spoons

Garlic - 1 clove

Salt - to taste

Directions

Wash and dry the peppers using a clean dishtowel.

Cut lengthwise and remove the seeds, stems, and membranes.

Cut into strips and after chop them.

Put the chopped ​​peppers in a bowl and wash them under running water to eliminate all the remaining seeds.

Drain them well.

In a pan with a splash of olive oil add  the garlic, fry gently on a low heat and when it
becomes golden add the peppers.

Season with salt and cover the pan with a lid. Cook over medium heat for about ten minutes.

Take off the lid and cook on high heat stirring often so that they don’t burn.

Place the peppers on a dinner plate and serve warm.

It is necessary to pay attention during the first part of the peppers cooking , we mean the beginning with the lid on,
